Create an autoexec.cfg file using notepad then add it to you CFG folder in CSGO

Open Library in steam>> right click CSGO >> Properties >> set launch options and add

-high -nod3d9ex -nojoy -threads 4 -noforcemparms -noforcemaccel -novid -refresh 144 -freq 144 +mat_queue_mode 2 +exec autoexec.cfg

If your monitor is not 144hz, change the values to 60 or whatever the rate is on your monitor

InGame enable (~) console

some crosshair configs you can do

cl_crosshairsize 2
cl_crosshairthickness 1
cl_crosshairdot 0

you can mess around with those and make them static ...small thick dot or no dot

I can't stand the Dynamic one personally but you may like it

For higher FPS

Turn v-sync off
Power mode to >>Performance

CSGO is a high CPU intensive game. Everyone's computer should differ in results

I'm averaging about 450-550 FPS during game play and I dip to 350 or spike to 600+ from time to time

Thanks, I"ll definitely try some of this. Experimented with some stuff like this with positive results yesterday, but still didn't have it as smooth as I'd like.

I don't use the netgraph one ingame for fps .. I use the one from steam

on your taskbar >> right click steam>> settings >> ingame >> it's in the middle where to show fps and color and so on

There are custom maps people have made so you can practice aim, create your own crosshair, etc. A lot of them are helpful for newer players, check them out sometimes.

Venom's info really helped smooth out the game on my "less than up to date" system.
