charity work....

Post by Fishmonk » Sun Oct 21, 2012 5:48 pm

Have you ever done charity work? Help at a soup kitchen, pass out food to homeless or donated stuff for a good cause?
I work in a place where we have a opportunity to reach out to the community .Me and a few of my co-workers went to a studio and cut a song to make people aware of the homeless situation in or city .It was cool we had some local school kids 5 and 6th graders help us in the chorus and all the proceeds went to a food bank. We got to be on 2 local radio stations and I made a video of the song and placed it on YouTube
http://youtu.be/8K3zHKemh9E" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ok it’s a bit hokey but the guys I played with never been in a band so it’s truly a rough project. I also mentored inner city yoots'<youths> at the boy and girls club of America
Taught them about music theory and showed them basic drum rudiments .My band also play for various charities for free.Thats my way of giving back..how about you?
